Huggies Baby Wipes

Back to Projects
This project focused on the redesign and reconstruction of packaging for Huggies Baby Wipes, exploring the relationship between structural packaging design, branding, and real-world production systems. The objective was to develop a functional packaging solution while understanding how dielines translate into physical form.

The project combines technical precision with visual communication, emphasizing how packaging structure supports both usability and brand recognition.
Concept

The design process centered on analyzing how everyday consumer packaging functions across both physical and visual experiences. By reconstructing the package through dieline development and 3D visualization, the project investigates how folds, panels, proportions, and branding elements interact within a production-ready system.

The goal was to create a package that remains practical and manufacturable while maintaining a clean and recognizable presentation.
Structural Analysis

The project began with the study and breakdown of existing baby wipes packaging systems to better understand:

  • Folding mechanisms
  • Panel relationships
  • Opening structures
  • Dimensions and proportions
  • Material behavior

This research phase helped establish the foundational structure for the redesign.
Dieline Construction

A custom dieline was developed to accurately define folds, cuts, tabs, and assembly structure. Special attention was given to alignment, spacing, and production logic to ensure the package could realistically function as a physical product.

The dieline stage emphasized technical accuracy and packaging organization.
Brand Application

Graphic elements, typography, and branding components were integrated into the structural layout to create a cohesive packaging system. The design balanced functionality with visual clarity while maintaining the recognizable softness and accessibility associated with baby care products.
